Dot NAME Domains

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level extension is the only one intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to purchase john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed 3rd-level domain names remained operational.

Through our company, you can acquire your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no particular requirements on who can register a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
